FAQ

Q1

What is difference between SPPF and car coating?

A1

The coating thickness is very thin, around a few micrometers (Saran wrap is 10 micrometers), but the SPPF film is extremely thick, over 160 micrometers, and is physically strong, protecting the body from flying stones and nicks. It is also possible to apply an additional coating on top of SPPF after it has been installed.

Q2

What is difference between SPPF and wrapping film(PPF)?

A2

The biggest difference is whether there are any seams after construction. With the sheet-attached type of protection film, pre-cut sheets are pasted to fit the curved surface of the body, so due to its characteristics, there are inevitably seams between the sheets. Dirt may accumulate there and cause peeling. Also, in some cases, the stickers are pasted on to the car body and then cut with a cutter, which may cause damage to the car body. SPPF does not apply a sheet, but rather coats paint over and over to form a thick film, making it possible to seamlessly wrap and protect the vehicle body and parts.

Q3

Is any special maintenance required after installing SPPF?

A3

It's not particularly necessary. Regular car washing is also possible. However, in order to maintain the shine of the surface, we recommend regular check-ups at the installation shop.

Q4

Please tell me how many years SPPF is supported.

A4

3 to 5 years depending on the usage environment.

Q5

I installed SPPF, but it was damaged by stepping stones.
What should I do?

A5

SPPF can be polished after installation, so it is possible to remove extremely deep scratches that would reach the original paint film by polishing with a special polisher.

Q6

Can you issue a certificate of SPPF installation?

A6

Yes

Q7

I had an accident with the SPPF installed and had to file an insurance claim.
What should I do?

A7

Firstly, if you have vehicle insurance, recommend that you apply to your insurance company for a review of the vehicle value when SPPF is installed. In the happened of damage to vehicle, it is up to each insurance company to determine whether or not it will be compensated, but since general car coatings are approved on the condition that a certificate of installation is presented, although the installation method is different, Since SPPF is a transparent liquid protective film intended to protect the body, there are an increasing number of cases nationwide where SPPF is also covered.

Q8

Where can I install SPPF?

A8

We recommend that you carry out the installation at a certified Dip Shop that has undergone technical training provided by the manufacturer (head quarter) and whose skills have been recognized.
